PHOTO International Festival of Photography
Founded in 2018 by Elias Redstone, PHOTO International Festival of Photography
Outdoor Curation
A founding team member of PHOTO International Festival of Photography, I designed and oversaw the festival’s headline Outdoor Program: from concept to structural design, fabrication, commissioning of artists, and final delivery.
Across 3 biennials, I delivered 100+ site specific installations, including 50+ commissions of new works by Australian artists, working with and transforming Melbourne’s citty centre into a exhibition of discovery. Featured artists include: Brook Andrew, Nan Goldin, Mous Lamrabat, Zanele Muholi, Ryan McGinley, and Cindy Sherman.
Gallery Curation
Alongside overseeing the Festival’s headline Outdoor Program, I have curated a number of gallery and museum exhibitions, from Footcsray Community Arts to the Galleries at the Victorian Bar in Melbourne’s legal district, and Sofitel Melbourne. A curatorial highlight is a full gallery takeover of the Centre for Contempoary Photography for PHOTO 2022 with solo exhibitions by Paul Mpagi Sepuya and Martine Gutierrez, alongside the group exhibition Queering the Frame: Community, Time, Photography, featuring Brook Andrew, J Davies, Helen Grace, Samuel Hodge, The Huxleys, and Shannon May Powell.
